Virginia Residential Services
CAI confirms the rights of every individual based on our person-centered philosophy. Our residential program offers individuals with mild, moderate and severe intellectual disabilities, permanent community living within a warm and nurturing enviroment. We are committed to assuring that each individual is given choices through person-centered planning. CAI staff are well trained in assisting individuals with activities of daily living, goal development and accessing community services. Our residential program provides individuals the opportunity to live in safe and secure homes throughout the Tidewater area. Each home has access to a vehicle, including wheel chair accessible vans for additional consumer support. Our homes are loctaed within the following cities:
- Newport News
- Virginia Beach
CAI offers our consumers additional oversight of care under the direction of our Health Services Coordinator. The Health Services Coordinator provides on-going monitoring of consumer health care needs and a coordination of medical services. Our staff receive oversight, supervision and continued trainings to ensure the best quality of services are provided.
For Wavier-funded Services, a consumer must have a diagnosis of an intellectual disability and/or a mental health condition. A psychological test is required. A consumer must be at least 18 years or older.
